Biography

Daniel Shmorhun, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology, with expertise in evaluating and treating heartbeat abnormalities (arrhythmias) and performing heart catheterization procedures, catheter ablation, and the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. He is affiliated with the Texas Center for Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease and is part of a clinical partnership with Dell Children’s Medical Center, UT Health Austin. Dr. Shmorhun earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at the National Naval Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric cardiology with a focus on pediatric electrophysiology at Texas Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine. He is an active member of the Pediatric Congenital Electrophysiology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
