Dr. Daniela Cammack

Biography

I am an assistant professor in Political Science with an affiliation in Classics at UC Berkeley. I received my Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2013, where I was a Junior Fellow at the Society of Fellows. Prior to my current role, I have held positions as a visiting research fellow at Stanford and as a visiting lecturer and assistant professor at Yale. My research primarily focuses on ancient Greek democracy and its comparison with modern democracy. I strive to create a warm and inclusive classroom environment where curiosity and debate flourish. My pedagogical approach emphasizes critical thinking and reflective reading, encouraging students to engage deeply with texts and discussions. I am also a mother and balance my academic pursuits with family life.
