Dr. Daniela Golinelli

Biography

Daniela Golinelli is a Research Professor at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing. An experienced statistician, she is passionate about developing and implementing novel statistical inference procedures and conducting rigorous statistical analyses to solve real-world problems in public health. Her research primarily focuses on developing quantitative methods and study designs to address pressing public health questions. Dr. Golinelli aims to lend her expertise to the design and implementation of rigorous study designs that utilize quantitative methods to answer vital research questions in an unbiased and interpretable manner. Her important areas of research include studying homelessness, risky behaviors, and social networks. She has made substantial contributions to the development of sophisticated sampling designs for obtaining large probability samples of homeless individuals and has focused on improving analytical methods to estimate intervention effects in mental health studies. Dr. Golinelli has educated pre- and post-doctoral researchers and has taught undergraduate and graduate statistics courses at institutions such as the University of Southern California and the RAND Pardee Graduate School.
