Biography

Daniela Guericke is an Assistant Professor in the Stochastic Operations Research Section of Industrial Engineering Business Information Systems. Her research focuses on sustainable operations utilizing stochastic operations research optimization methods, with application areas including energy systems and health care. She is particularly interested in decision-making under uncertainty and solving large-scale optimization problems. Daniela received her PhD in Business Information Systems specializing in Decision Support from the Operations Research Lab at Paderborn University. After that, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In 2020, she became an Assistant Professor in the area of decision-making under uncertainty for Integrated Energy Systems at DTU. Daniela has also received the Young Researchers Award from the German Operations Research Society (GOR e.V.) in 2021. Her expertise includes Computer Science models, Control Engineering, District Heating Systems, Energy Engineering, and Optimization of Energy Systems and Networks.
