Biography

Daniella Teape is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a clinician educator specializing in pediatric pulmonology. Her research focuses on the mechanisms underlying respiratory ciliary dysfunction, particularly in patients with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Asthma, and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia. Dr. Teape completed her undergraduate studies at New York University and earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Albany Medical College. She furthered her medical training with a pediatric residency at NYU/Winthrop University Hospital, followed by fellowship training at Yale New Haven Hospital. In addition to her clinical work, she is dedicated to basic science research in respiratory biology and is a co-principal investigator for a partnered grant from the Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Foundation, which has been funded since January 2017. Dr. Teape is also affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Thoracic Society.
