Biography

Danielle Baribeau is an Assistant Professor and Clinician Scientist specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her MD and PhD in clinical epidemiology and health care research at the University of Toronto, where her doctoral work focused on understanding anxiety in autism through longitudinal statistical methods. After completing her adult psychiatry residency in 2017 and child and adolescent psychiatry residency in 2019, she undertook a two-year fellowship at SickKids, centered on consultation-liaison psychiatry and the neurodevelopmental assessment of rare neurogenetic disorders. Dr. Baribeau is now a clinician scientist at the Bloorview Research Institute, where she leads a research program dedicated to translating genetic advances into improved mental health care for individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. In her role at Holland Bloorview’s Child Development program, she works within the Psychopharmacology Clinic and the Autism Communication, Learning, and Behaviour program, focusing on clinical interventions and research in these areas.
