Danielle Pilar Clealand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mexican American and Latino/a Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, she is working on projects that focus on the experiences of Black Latinos in the U.S. and the Black migration narrative, particularly in relation to community building and political attitudes. Clealand's work has been published in journals such as the Annual Review of Political Science and Ethnic and Racial Studies, and she serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies.
