Biography

Danielle D’Amour has significantly contributed to the training of future nurses in the administration of nursing services, and to the advancement of knowledge in this field. Her remarkable contributions have improved the quality and safety of care for patients and their families, as well as communities. Her passion for teaching and research has never waned since she joined the Faculty of Nursing at the Université de Montréal in 1994. Her contributions to the discipline have been exceptional both within the faculty and on a provincial and international scale. The results of her work have been widely published and have become a model of good practices in many health establishments. She was the instigator and director of the Centre for Research and Training in Nursing Service Administration from 2001 to 2010, the only Canadian center dedicated to research in this sector, which allowed the faculty to work for the first time in consortium with three other universities in a spirit of interdisciplinarity and openness, both in training and research. thanks to her dynamism, a new option in nursing service administration has been introduced in both Master’s and doctoral programs. Danielle D'Amour has participated in numerous projects in various countries and is regularly sought after as an expert and speaker.
