Biography

Danielle Gaucher holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Waterloo, awarded in 2010. She completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Princeton University funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Her research focuses on issues of social justice and social change, investigating the social-psychological processes that contribute to the maintenance of inequality at both individual and institutional levels. Through her work at the Intergroup Relations and Social Justice Laboratory, she aims to advance theory regarding the psychological barriers to social change and encourages a wide range of prosocial behaviors that promote equitable social arrangements. With a research program that is psychologically informed, quantitatively grounded, and widely disseminated, Gaucher is committed to understanding and addressing social justice issues.
