Biography

Danielle L. Jones is a Lecturer at Columbia Law School and the Assistant Managing Attorney at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (US) LLP. With prior experience as the Deputy Managing Attorney at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, she has a solid background in criminal defense. Danielle began her legal career with the Legal Aid Society as a Staff Attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice, and she has served in various capacities within the New York State Court System, including as a Principal Court Attorney at the Kings County Supreme Court and an Assistant Law Clerk at the New York County Supreme Court-Civil Term. Additionally, Danielle has been a legal commentator for the Law & Crime Network, contributing her insights on criminal law matters. She is actively involved in various committees, including the Committee on Character and Fitness for the Appellate Division, and is a member of the Justice Ambassadors Youth Council at Columbia University's Center for Justice. Furthermore, she serves on the board of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Association of Black Women Attorneys.
