Danielle Rulli has a passion for oral health and a wide range of experience in clinical dental hygiene and expanded functions. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado, in 2001. Her undergraduate dental hygiene studies were completed at the University of Vermont in 2004, and she earned her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of North Carolina in 2007. In 2015, she completed her Doctor of Health Science degree at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to her role as an educator, Danielle has worked with the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA) as Manager of Student Relations and has held leadership roles within the organization. She is also a member of the American Dental Education Association and has contributed to the publication 'Oral Health America: Advances and Challenges', a landmark follow-up to the 2000 Surgeon General's report on oral health published by NIDCR. Her leadership contributions to dental education have been recognized with the Chair ADEA Board of Directors Citation. Her research interests include interprofessional education and collaboration, integrated care, and non-surgical approaches to periodontal and peri-implant maintenance disease. Danielle continues to actively practice dental hygiene at the Graduate Periodontics clinic at the School of Dentistry.
