Danielle Soranno is a pediatric nephrologist at Riley Hospital for Children and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the use of injectable hydrogels for delivering therapeutics to improve outcomes and reduce the progression of chronic kidney disease in cases of AKI. Dr. Soranno collaborates on various multi-centered clinical research projects aimed at understanding the outcomes for children, particularly neonates, who develop AKI. In 2022, she was recruited to IUSM/Riley to continue her work in the fields of pediatrics, bioengineering, and AKI.
