Biography

Danielle Wenner is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University. She is the Associate Director of CMU's Affiliate Faculty Member at the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Bioethics and Health Law. She earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from Rice University in 2011 and completed a clinical ethics fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, she was an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Humanities at CMU. Her research addresses gaps in applied ethics and applied political philosophy, covering topics such as research ethics, global justice, and democracy in group decision-making. Her work focuses on the ethical standards governing researchers and the responsibilities of privileged individuals and organizations towards low- and middle-income populations.
