Biography

Danya Lagos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 2019. Her research examines transgender and non-binary populations, as well as the intersection of social change and political economy. She is passionate about applying quantitative methods to interrogate society's pressing questions and is committed to teaching and mentoring. Following her doctorate, Danya was a NICHD Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin's Population Research Center from 2019 to 2020.
