Dr. Daria Babushok

Biography

Daria V Babushok, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She conducts research in hematology-oncology, focusing on the fundamental mechanisms of bone marrow failure syndromes and their relationship with clonal hematopoiesis. Her clinical expertise includes inherited and acquired bone marrow failure, aplastic anemia, and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. Dr. Babushok is dedicated to advancing the understanding of the immune system's role in bone marrow failure and leveraging state-of-the-art genome analysis and molecular biology techniques to examine immune-mediated mechanisms. Her research team welcomes inquiries and collaborations from undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdoctoral scientists. She earned her MD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and she completed a Bachelor’s degree at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Babushok remains actively involved in both clinical and research settings, contributing to the field of hematology-oncology with a focus on translational science.
