Dr. Daria Davitti

Biography

Daria Davitti is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University, specializing in Law with a focus on Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Public International Law, and Health Law. She is the Principal Investigator for the Refugee Finance: Histories, Frameworks, Practices (REF-FIN) project, funded by the European Research Council, which explores the long-term socio-economic implications of political and financial processes impacting refugee finance. Additionally, she leads a project examining the alignment of the EU Taxonomy Regulation with international human rights and environmental law obligations. Davitti holds experience as a field officer for the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan and has served as a consultant for the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She is a founding member of the IEL Collective and serves on several research networks, contributing to the intersection of international economic law and human rights in complex contexts, including armed conflicts and climate changes.
