Biography

Daria Trojan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, with additional affiliation as an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal. She is a physiatrist associated with the Montreal Neurological Hospital and the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre. Dr. Trojan specializes in post-polio syndrome and neuromuscular disease disorders, and she coordinates the Post-polio Clinic at the Montreal Neurological Hospital and the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre. Her clinical research focuses on post-polio syndrome, sleep abnormalities, and multiple sclerosis. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania in 1980, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Trojan completed her postgraduate residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Boston University Hospital, and the Montreal General Hospital. She also holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from McGill University, obtained in 1993. Throughout her career, she has received several awards and honors, including clinical research fellowships and scholarships from the Fonds de recherche en Santé du Québec.
