Biography

Darin Latimore is the Deputy Dean of Collaborative Excellence at Yale School of Medicine, where he is dedicated to improving the climate of medical academic settings. He is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic plans to nurture success within the Yale School of Medicine community, providing mentorship, sponsorship, and collaborative opportunities. Dr. Latimore works to inspire prospective students, trainees, and staff from diverse backgrounds to apply to Yale's programs by sharing compelling stories about the community's exceptional offerings and resources. He co-chairs the Yale Program in Art and Public Spaces, which has commissioned new artwork featuring Yale leaders and alumni while also hosting public exhibitions of artwork by community members. Since joining Yale in 2017, Dr. Latimore was previously the Associate Dean for Student and Resident Diversity at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, where he completed his medical degree and residency in internal medicine. His academic career includes serving as the Associate Program Director for the UC Davis internal medicine residency program and inaugural Director of Medical Student Diversity.
