Dario Carugo is an Associate Professor at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, specializing in Biostimulation and Immunological Engineering. By 2020, he joined University College London as a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and later became Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics. His research interests include designing mechanistic models, prototype devices, and investigating interventional stimuli-mediated approaches to treat chronic wounds, implant-associated infections, and vascular and musculoskeletal disorders. Dario is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and teaches various subjects in pharmaceutical sciences and engineering.
