Biography

Dario M. Zagar, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at Yale University. He graduated from Columbia College of Columbia University with a B.A. in Premedical Studies and Psychology in 1993, and obtained his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1999. After completing an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, he finished his residency in neurology at the Neurological Institute of New York, Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Zagar specializes in general neurology, with board certification in Headache Medicine. His clinical interests include migraine, epilepsy, stroke, and Parkinson’s disease. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials focused on these areas, particularly migraine and Alzheimer’s disease. He has also received the Community Physician Medicine Teaching Award from St. Vincent’s Medical Center in both 2016-2017 and 2018-2019. Dr. Zagar is known for his dedication to improving the quality of life for his patients, emphasizing a compassionate approach rooted in his experiences as a migraine sufferer himself.
