Professor Dr. Dariusz Stachurski

Biography

Dariusz Stachurski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He specializes in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology. His clinical roles include serving as a Staff Surgical Pathologist and Hematopathologist, along with being the Laboratory Medical Director at Eleanor Slater Hospital and the Chair of the Pathology Department at Newport Hospital. Dr. Stachurski has a strong background in various aspects of pathology and has completed residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Massachusetts. He also obtained fellowship training in Hematopathology and Pediatric Pathology. His expertise includes myelodysplastic syndromes, benign hematology, transfusion medicine, general hematopathology, and clinical laboratory operations. He has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications regarding prognostic factors in lymphoma, cytogenetic abnormalities in leukemias, and diagnostic improvements in hematopathology.
