Biography

Darrell D. Mousseau is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan. He received his Ph.D. in Neurochemistry from the University of Alberta and conducted postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota and the Université de Montréal. Joining the University of Saskatchewan in 2002, he established the Cell Signalling Laboratory. His major research objectives focus on determining the biochemical events common to depression and Alzheimer’s disease, with current explorations examining the link between depression and poor prognosis in breast cancer patients. Mousseau holds the Saskatchewan Research Chair in Alzheimer’s disease-related dementia, funded jointly by the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
