Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Darren Creek. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Darren Creek utilizes advanced metabolomics and systems pharmacology approaches to investigate microbial pathogens and facilitate the discovery of new medicines for infectious diseases, particularly malaria and human African trypanosomiasis. He completed his PhD in pharmaceutics at Monash University, focusing on mechanisms of action and clearance of novel antimalarial drugs. With post-doctoral experience in pre-clinical drug discovery at Monash's Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation and the Wellcome Centre for Molecular Parasitology at the University of Glasgow, he has developed significant capabilities in metabolomics. Darren has played a major role in implementing the Scottish Metabolomics Facility and developing widely used metabolomics software, IDEOM. He is currently an ARC Future Fellow, continuing research on drug delivery and metabolism dynamics at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS). His work has provided new insights into protozoan parasite metabolism and drug resistance mechanisms.
Requirements are standardized across the Faculty of Information Technology for most Master's programs including Computer Science and Data Science.
