Biography

Darren Salmi is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University. His specialization lies in pediatric cardiovascular pathology and autopsy pathology. Salmi has completed his M.D. from the University of California, Davis, and holds an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from Fitchburg State University. He also finished his residency in Anatomic Pathology at Stanford. In his role as Assistant Dean of Academic Advising, he directs core medical courses for Physician Assistant students including anatomy, embryology, and histology. His current research interests focus on cardiovascular pathology, congenital heart disease, and medical education. Salmi has received several awards for his teaching excellence and has served on various boards and committees related to medical education and cardiovascular pathology. He actively participates in professional organizations, including the Society for Cardiovascular Pathology and the Society for Pediatric Pathology.
