Darwin Gouwanda graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Monash University. He has held various positions within the IEEE EMBS, including vice chair in 2015, secretary in 2016, and chapter chair from 2023 to present, and is the technical program chair for the IEEE IECBES conference organized by IEEE EMBS Malaysia.
