I am an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University, having graduated with a Master of Clinical Psychology and a PhD from The University of New South Wales, Sydney. I completed postdoctoral fellowships at Florida International University in the USA and Simon Fraser University in Canada. As a registered psychologist with an endorsement in Clinical Psychology since 2011, I have practiced in community and university settings. My primary research interest revolves around improving mental health and wellbeing for children, young people, and families, with a significant focus on implementing and evaluating parent interventions in partnership with government and community organizations within the child welfare sector. I direct the ANU Child Wellbeing Research Group, where we collaborate with students on research topics including attachment relationships, child mental health, child maltreatment, trauma, family violence, and resilience out-of-home care. My current projects are funded by the Australian Research Council and Australian Rotary Health.
