Dr. Dave Toback

Biography

David Toback is a Professor in Physics and Astronomy at Texas A&M University, where he has been a faculty member since 2000. He specializes in Experimental Particle Physics, particularly in the search for new fundamental particles and the mysteries of particle physics that date back to the early moments of the universe following the Big Bang. His research includes conducting experiments at some of the world's highest energy particle accelerators, such as the CDF Experiment at Fermilab and the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. He is also involved with the deep underground CDMS experiment aimed at searching for dark matter. Throughout his career, he has aimed to understand the role of dark matter in the universe, a quest that has inspired many of his research endeavors. Toback has authored a book titled 'Big Bang, Black Holes, Math,' showcasing his contributions to the field. He is also a Fellow of the American Physical Society and has received multiple teaching awards, reflecting his commitment to excellence in education.
