Biography

David Edmund Anstey, MD, MPH, is a noninvasive cardiologist with expertise in preventative cardiology, valvular coronary heart disease, arrhythmic disorders, and cardiomyopathies. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and echocardiography. Dr. Anstey completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School after obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. His postgraduate training included an internship and residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, followed by a fellowship in cardiology where he served as Chief Fellow at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He also completed an additional advanced fellowship in echocardiography at Columbia University. His special areas of expertise include sports medicine and hypertension. Dr. Anstey has extensive clinical research experience focusing on the cardiovascular manifestations of hypertension, ambulatory home blood pressure monitoring, and the socioeconomic determinants of health. He is actively accepting new patients and emphasizes the importance of teaching, having received multiple excellence teaching awards at Harvard Medical School.
