Biography

David Bracken is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Political Science at Penn State University. His teaching and research focus on polarization, public opinion, social identity, and comparative context. He earned his M.A. in American Government from Georgetown University in 2012 and completed his Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of California, Davis in 2023. Prior to re-joining academia, Bracken worked in digital strategy at Blue State, formerly known as Blue State Digital, where he collaborated with political parties, large brands, and charitable organizations around the world. He is passionate about political change and is committed to translating research into action. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is an avid supporter of Chelsea Football Club and is always on the lookout for new opportunities to collaborate and learn.
