Biography

David Builes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Princeton University. He previously served as a Bersoff Faculty Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at New York University. Builes received his PhD in philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests broadly encompass metaphysics and epistemology. Within metaphysics, he is particularly interested in questions related to time, consciousness, the self, the laws of nature, ontology, infinity, modality, explanation, and fundamentality.
