Dr. David Chang

Biography

David Chang is a prominent professor of surgery at the University of Chicago, holding the Ruth Hanna Simms Foundation Professorship. He specializes in various reconstructive surgical techniques, including breast reconstruction, extremity reconstruction, and head and neck reconstruction, focusing on advances to improve outcomes for his patients. His clinical interests are deeply rooted in complex surgical procedures, such as lymph node transfer and lymphovenous bypass surgery, which are pivotal in treating lymphedema. Dr. Chang has an extensive academic background, having completed his MD at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, followed by a residency at the University of Illinois and a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center.
