David Nikki Crouse is a transgender/genderqueer writer whose work often explores themes of identity and the relationship with the natural world. They are the author of four collections of short fiction, including 'Copy Cats,' which won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, and 'Man Back,' awarded the Mary McCarthy Prize. Additionally, Crouse is engaged in several book-length projects, including a novel about academia and social justice titled 'Bloodless' and a short story collection called 'Stranger.' Aside from writing, they enjoy reading comic books and creating low-fi electronic music.
