Dr. David Dale Johnson

Biography

Professor David Dale-Johnson holds the Stan Melton Chair in Real Estate at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. He is an expert in urban development, real estate economics, and finance, with an extensive academic career that includes international consulting activities. Professor Dale-Johnson has also held positions at the University of Southern California, where he worked in the Marshall School of Business and the Sol Price School of Public Policy. He has taught at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, the University of California at Berkeley, and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, contributing to the development of real estate institutions in emerging economies. His work includes developing international business real estate programs across Central Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and he co-founded and designed an executive program for real estate development aimed at aiding disadvantaged communities. He has authored numerous academic articles and served on editorial boards of journals in his field, offering consultancy to various cities in Canada and the USA. Additionally, Professor Dale-Johnson has provided expert testimony regarding disputes in real estate economics and finance and has been involved in significant projects, including overseeing a $35 million expansion for an independent school in Vancouver.
