Dr. David Delay

Biography

David C. J. Delay is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Social Work. His academic focus includes advanced social work education and practice. Dr. Delay earned his Doctorate in Philosophy (Social Work) from the University of Toronto in 2015, and has a background in various social work disciplines, including treatment interventions and health engagements related to men's experiences and intimate partner participation. His commitment to the field is reflected in his service on the Inquiry Committee of the Manitoba College of Social Workers, and as a registered social worker in Manitoba and Ontario. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Delay is known for incorporating mindfulness-based practices into his mental health interventions, enhancing the learning experience for his students and contributing to the broader discourse in social work.
