Biography

David Edwards is a Professor at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo, where he has held various leadership positions including Hallman Director and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science from 2011 to 2020. He earned his undergraduate pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto and completed his pharmacy residency at Sunnybrook Medical Centre. His research lab focuses on identifying how drugs interact with compounds in grapefruit juice. He has been a significant figure in Canadian pharmacy education and has held key roles in various professional organizations. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he received the Honorary Life Award from the Canadian Pharmacists Association in 2018 and the AFPC Woods-Hughes Special Service Award in 2022.
