Biography

Dr. Epstein's clinical research interests focus on infectious pulmonary complications arising from bone marrow transplantation (BMT), chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy, and cancer treatments. His current research investigates bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections, as well as complications associated with lung graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and CAR-T therapy. In his clinical practice, Dr. Epstein cares for patients with bronchiectasis and NTM infections who are undergoing BMT, CAR-T therapy, and cancer treatments to develop infectious complications. His clinical focus includes infectious disease in immunocompromised hosts, mycobacterial infections, bronchiectasis, graft versus host disease, and respiratory infections.
