Biography

David Evans is an Associate Professor in the Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Toronto. His research primarily focuses on vertebrate evolution and palaeontology, with particular interests in the evolutionary relationships and diversity of Late Cretaceous dinosaur groups, including hadrosaurids, ceratopsians, pachycephalosaurids, and small theropods. His studies also evaluate the patterns of dinosaur evolution and biogeography and their relationship to environmental changes that led to the end of the Cretaceous extinction event. As an academic, he is actively involved in mentoring students, currently accepting MSc and PhD candidates in his lab. He holds a BSc from the University of British Columbia and a PhD from the University of Toronto.
