Biography

David Evans, MD is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington and holds the Rosenblatt Family Endowed Professorship in Rural Health. He provides patient care at the UW Primary Care Northgate Clinic and the Family Medicine inpatient obstetric service at the University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest. Dr. Evans educates family medicine residents in various settings including outpatient, inpatient, and obstetrics, and conducts rural health research at the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center. He earned his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with honors. Following his graduation, he spent a year in Washington, DC as the National President of the American Medical Student Association and completed his residency in Family Medicine in Tacoma, Washington. For over 15 years, Dr. Evans practiced in rural Oregon, where in addition to providing clinical care, he actively engaged in organized medicine within the local community. He has received community service and teaching awards for his contributions. Dr. Evans enjoys living in Seattle, Washington with his wife, children, and dogs.
