Dr. David Fleiszer

Biography

David Fleiszer completed his undergraduate and graduate medical education at McGill University, followed by a Surgical Residency at Grenfell Mission Hospital in Northern Newfoundland. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Trauma Program at Montreal General Hospital and served as President of the Trauma Association of Canada and Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Over the years, he has been a major force in the conception and creation of the Cedars Breast Cancer Clinic, focusing on surgical diagnosis and care for breast cancer patients. Dr. Fleiszer has also pioneered the Online Virtual Patient Program, which enhances medical teaching and learning through the integration of technology and pedagogy. His innovations have been influential in undergraduate, postgraduate medical education, and continuing medical education for practicing physicians, affecting patient and family education initiatives as well.
