Biography

David Geffen is currently the Director of Optometric Refractive Services at the Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute-TLC in San Diego, California. He has lectured and written extensively on topics such as contact lenses, anterior segment issues, refractive surgery procedures, and intraocular lenses. Geffen has served as a contributing editor for 'Optometry Advanced Ocular Care' and was a past contributing editor for 'Contact Lens Spectrum Optometry.' He has also held the position of past president of the Optometric Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Society, and served as the past chair of the Education Meetings Committee for the California Optometric Association. He has conducted numerous contact lens-related studies for manufacturers and served as an industry consultant for several years. Throughout his career, Geffen has published numerous articles and delivered hundreds of lectures on various aspects of optometry.
