Dr. David Glovsky

Biography

David Glovsky is an Assistant Professor at Harvard University with a focus on History and African and African American Studies. His research interests encompass a wide array of topics including African history, the dynamics of borders and borderlands, migration and mobility, the processes of decolonization, citizenship issues in the postcolonial context, and state-making processes within the Islamic framework across Africa. Through a combination of historical analysis and critical theory, he seeks to illuminate the complex intersections of these themes in contemporary and historical contexts. His scholarly contributions aim to broaden the understanding of the African continent's historical narratives and their implications on current socio-political landscapes.
