Dr. David Haglund

Biography

David Haglund is a Professor at Queen's University in the Department of Political Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University in 1978 and has held various teaching and research positions at the University of British Columbia before joining Queen's in 1983. Haglund has also served as the Director of the Queen’s Centre for International Relations and the Head of the Department of Political Studies. He has held visiting professorships at multiple prestigious institutions in France, Germany, Ireland, and the United States. His research has primarily focused on American foreign policy, transatlantic relations, and Canadian foreign policy, where he has actively supervised graduate students in these areas. Throughout his career, Haglund has contributed significantly to the field through various publications and has co-edited international journals.
