Biography

David Halen is the concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony and a Professor of Violin at the Department of Strings at the University of Michigan. He earned his Bachelor of Music from Central Missouri State University and a Master of Music from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Halen has performed with notable orchestras such as the Houston and San Francisco Symphonies and has held the position of assistant concertmaster with the Houston Symphony Orchestra before joining the St. Louis Symphony in 1991.
