Biography

David G. Hesse is an Associate Professor of Urology at Yale School of Medicine. He has a comprehensive background in urologic oncology, male infertility, reproductive health, and stone disease. Dr. Hesse obtained his MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Faculty Award for Excellence. He completed his surgical internship and residency at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at Cornell Medical College. Dr. Hesse's clinical expertise includes minimally invasive robotic surgery and managing a broad spectrum of urological cancers, such as those of the prostate, bladder, kidney, testes, adrenal, and penile regions. He pioneered robotic prostatectomy and has trained numerous urologists across the country to perform this technique. His research interests primarily focus on prostatectomy and prostatic neoplasms, contributing significantly to the field through peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Hesse has been recognized as a Top Doc by Connecticut Magazine multiple times and continues to be actively involved in academic and clinical research.
