I am a broadly trained human geographer with research interests in urban geography, colonial urbanisms, and inner-city neighborhood change. My work is united by a theoretical commitment to understanding how inequitable social relations persist in North American cities. Currently, I am working with graduate students who are pursuing qualitative research projects across a range of urban topics. I welcome prospective students and believe Carleton University is a great place to pursue research passions. Since joining the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies in 2018, I have spent time in renowned research environments such as York University (as a PhD student from 2009 to 2015), the University of Minnesota (as a visiting scholar from 2011 to 2012), and Simon Fraser University (as a post-doc from 2015 to 2017).
