Professor David C. Hutchings, a leading expert in nonlinear optics and optoelectronic integration, has held a personal chair in Optical Quantum Electronics at the University of Glasgow since 2004. His research focuses on nonlinear optics, monolithic heterogeneous optoelectronic integration, and semiconductor theory and modeling, supported by extensive postdoctoral experience at the CREOL at the University of Central Florida.
