Biography

David Jackson is a Part-Time Lecturer at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of City & Regional Planning. He focuses on affordable housing, community development, and economic mobility. Prior to his current role, Jackson was a Senior Adviser on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's community economic development team, where he concentrated on affordable housing and community economic development finance. His previous experience includes serving as Deputy Executive Director of the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership and Executive Director of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation. He also held leadership positions at the Atlanta Center for Working Families and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, along with a fellowship from the Fannie Mae Foundation at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He is actively involved in community organizations, serving on several boards including Mercy Housing and the Food Alliance.
