Biography

David Joubert holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Université du Québec à Montréal. Before joining the University of Ottawa, he was a Postdoctoral Intern and Staff Psychologist at Napa State Hospital in California and served as a Visiting Instructor in the Department of School Psychology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. His research focuses on correctional practices, attachment and family functioning, adolescent mothers, and Health Psychology, particularly in psychological assessment. He is currently involved in research projects aimed at investigating the developmental consequences of abuse and neglect in childhood, as well as the trajectories of professional development for correctional case workers.
