Biography

David Kahn is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Program at Texas A&M University, where he also serves as the Clinic Director for the Counseling and Assessment Clinic. He obtained his doctorate in School Psychology from Texas A&M University and completed a clinical internship at Beatrice State Developmental Center in Nebraska. Following his graduation, he underwent a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He also worked as a post-doctoral resident in Clinical Neuropsychology at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Kahn has extensive experience in supervising graduate students and providing therapy, assessment, parent training, and consultation-liaison services across various settings. His theoretical orientation focuses on neuropsychological assessment based on neurocognitive and neurobehavioral aspects of learning and behavior alongside complex mental health and medical conditions. His current research interests include school-based mental health services, child and adolescent mental health, access to mental health services in underserved populations, and the validation and development of tests and interventions.
