David W. Kennedy is the Manley O. Hudson Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, where he has been a faculty member since 1981. He is the Director of the Institute for Global Law and Policy, focusing on international law, international economic policy, legal theorization, and European law. Kennedy obtained his Ph.D. from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and his J.D. from Harvard. He was appointed as a Foreign Advisor to Thailand’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission in 2011 and has held visiting professorships at various universities worldwide. From 2008 to 2009, he served as Vice President for International Affairs at Brown University.
